Joint Efforts Bring 1,955 New Jobs to Caldwell County, NC in 12 Months
Located in western North Carolina, Caldwell County Economic Development Commission has attracted 1,955 new jobs and 15 companies to Caldwell County in the past 12 months. Their recruitment efforts' success reflects the strength of their strategic partnerships with the community and the state.
LENOIR, NC, October 16, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Caldwell County Economic Development Commission attributes their success in attracting 1,955 new jobs and 15 companies to Caldwell County to their strategic partnerships with local chambers of commerce and municipal, county and state agencies.
Alan Wood, the commission's senior project manager, explains that economic development has seen a tremendous change in recruitment style since the times when a large "savior manufacturer" would be recruited to breathe life and prosperity into a specific town.
In today's economy, Caldwell EDC's goal is to recruit diverse businesses and industries with an attractive incentive package that can include NC state incentive programs and community development grants.
"Economic development in Caldwell County cannot be successful without all of our allies joining forces to make projects a reality," Wood emphasizes. "Through these allies, we have a very powerful organization. I attribute our successes to everyone pulling together to make these things happen."
